70, a resident of 202 Autumn Park, died Friday, January 20 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel hill. She was the daughter of the late John Henry Reid and Helen Small Reid of New York, NY. She was a retired employee of Murdoch Rehabilitation Center in Burner.

She is survived by a son, Myron A. Monroe of Oxford; her mother, Helen Reid of Oxford, North Carolina; three sisters, Sylvia Godfrey of Creedmoor, Gwendetta White of Minion and Jacqueline Reid of Bronx, NY; one brother, John Reid of Durham; and four grandchildren.

Rev. John Jefferson will conduct funeral services Thursday, January 26 at 12:00 P.M. at Island Hill United Church of Christ in Clarksville, VA. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, January 25 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
