Davie Thomas Downey's Obituary
78, a resident of 7540 Cornwall Road, died Saturday, May 29 at Granville Medical Center. He was the son of the late Sam Downey and Mary Royster Downey.
He is survived by his wife, Rachael Fields Downey; five sisters, Wilma Howard of Oxford, Hattie Daye of Clarksville, VA, Lucy Downey, Marie Satterwhite and Margaret Brown all of Baltimore, MD; and one brother, John Downey of Durham.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 4 at 1:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home CHapel by Rev. Darwin Howard. Burial will be in Grassy Creek Baptist Church cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, May 3 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
