87, a resident of 407 Prospect Ave., died Wednesday, Jan. 5 at Maria Parham Medical Center. He was the son of the late Nathaniel Parker and Gertrude Winston Parker. He was a retired long-time employee of the City of Oxford.

He is survived by his wife, Ernesteen Chavis Parker; a daughter, Blondina P. Small (Dana); and one grandchild.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, January 11 at 1m at Olive Grove Baptist Church cemetery by Rev. Johnnie White. A viewing is scheduled for Monday, January 10 from 4pm-6pm at Wright Funeral Home. All services will observe Covid-19 protocols of facial coverings and social distancing of six feet or more.
