69, a resident of 211 Lot 8 Harkey Lane, Creedmoor, died Saturday, March 20 at Duke Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Davis Garrett, Sr. and Etter Bailey Garrett.

He is survived by is devoted companion, Ada Braswell of the home; six children, Tracy Harris (Steven), Raquel Sheen (Malik), Vonya Harris (Lamont),Shelton Harris (Jessica) all of Henderson, Bradie Braswell and Brittney Braswell (David) both of Creedmoor; twenty grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Garrett Slaughter and three grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, March 25 in Cheatham Memorial Park. A viewing is scheduled from 4pm-6pm Wednesday, March 24 at Wright Funeral Home (all services will observe Covid-19 protocol of facial coverings and social distancing of six feet or more. Only ten people will be allowed in the room at any one time during the viewing).
