Chester Edward Manning, 90, of Mill Creek Road, Clarksville, VA, transitioned on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at Toney Rest Home in Oxford. He was born in Mecklenburg County, VA to the late Erastus Manning and Nannie Bet Small Manning.

He is survived by three children: Tina Terry of Henderson, Tony Manning of Clarksville, VA and Tanya Manning of Greensboro; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one brother, Marcellous Manning (Louise) of Brooklyn, NY.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11am, Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Antioch United Church of Christ (357 Antioch Church Road Henderson, NC 27537). Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 5pm to 7pm, Friday, June 26 at Wright Funeral Home of Oxford and at the church one hour prior to the service.
