83, a resident of 6062 NC Hwy 96 North, died Wednesday at Duke Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Dave McGhee and Sula Puryear McGhee. He was a graduate of the former Mary Potter Academy and a retired Dock Worker.

He is survived by his wife, Lula M. Golson McGhee; his son, Edward McGhee of Piscataway, NJ; two daughters, Sandra Grier of Plainfield, NJ, and Georgette McGhee of North Plainfield, NJ; fourteen grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.

The family has scheduled a private graveside services (following Gov. Coopers latest mandate of fifty (50) people with face mask and social distancing of at least six feet) if you don't have a face mask, please for everyone's safety, please stay at home.
