77, a resident of 918 Raleigh Street. Died Tuesday, Sept. 28 at her home. She was the daughter of the late William Bibby and Ugurtha Hawkins Bibby. She was a Retired teacher.

She was a gradute of the former Mary Potter High School where she was class Salutatorian. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education at Bennett College in Greensboro and a Master's Degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Choir and enjoyed Sunday School.

She is survived by her husband, Andrew Jackson; two daughters, Lavonda Jackson and Rhonda Jackson both of the home; a sister, Dora Bibby Bass of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 2 at 11am at First Baptist Church by Rev. Edward Davis. A viewing will be held Friday. Oct. 1 from 5pm-7pm at Wright Funeral Home.
