95, a resident of 1665 Hester Road, transitioned on Monday, May 20 at his home. He was the son of the late Solomon Hicks and Lallie Parham Hicks. He was a retired Dietary Supervisor at John Umstead Hospital. and a farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Lessie Cooley Hicks; three daughters, Deborah Hicks Hayes of Greensboro, Beverly Carolyn Johnson of Youngsville and Gloria Hicks Moss (Donnie) of Creedmoor; one son, Donald Cameron Hicks (Sherrie) of Strongsville, OH; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. He was predeceased by siblings Dennis Hicks, Ralph Hicks, Mariah Hicks Duncan

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 29, at Synama Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Randolph Moten. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, May 28 from 5pm-7pm at the funeral home.
