96, a resident of 501 Oxford Park Boulevard, died Tuesday, March 17 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Junius Roy Tyler and Bessie Brandon Tyler.

She is survived by four daughters, Alva Laverne Johnson Petway of the home, Jonshye A. Smith of New York, NY, Lael Penix of Oxford, and Chele Reid of Washington, DC; a son, Dr. Laroy "Pete" Penix of Atlanta, GA; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, March 21 at 1:00 P.M. A viewing is scheduled for Friday, March 20 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home. We remind you that because of the Coronavirus we are requesting that funeral services be limited to immediate family members only. Other family members, friends, and well-wishers are asked to offer their respect and condolences during the visitation at the funeral home.
