75, a resident of 5517 Antioch Road, transitioned Friday, Oct. 4 at Granville Health Systems. He was the son of the late Charlie Towler and Mary Elizabeth Whitehead Towler of Pittsylvania County, VA. He was a retired Textile engineer.

He is survived by his wife, Nora Harris Towler; three children, Iris Kufahl (Matthew) of Oxford, Brian Towler of Butner and Morgan Towler of Norfolk, VA; three sisters, Gloria Jean Hopkins of Chesham, VA, Mamie Cooper (Herman) of Oxford and Carie Towler of Oxford; four brothers, Joe Towler (Pauline) of East Orange, NJ, Booker T. Towler (Betty) of Oxford, John Towler (Shirlynn) also of Oxford, and Thomas Wilson (Doris) of Temple Hill, MD.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 10 at 1pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Robert Jones, Jr. A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 9 from 5pm-7pm at the funeral home, and one hour prior to services at the church.
