79, a resident of 110 Leak Avenue, died Friday, December 11 at Duke-Raleigh Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Cooper and Sebeirta Howell Cooper, and the widow of the late Cheatham Harris.

She is survived by a son, Riley Cooper of Oxford; two daughters, Carolyn Murphy of Henderson and Bonita Green of Oxford; two sisters, Lizzie Buie of Durham and Emma Thornton; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, December 16 at Meadowview Memorial Park by Rev. Edward Davis. A viewing will be held Tuesday December 15 from 5-7 PM  at Wright Funeral Home. All services will observe Covid-19 protocols of face coverings and social distancing of six feet or more.
