87, a resident of 212 Howard Place, died Sunday, Dec. 8 at Granville Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Albert Thorpe and Lucy Jones Thorpe. She was a retired CNA.

She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Williams of the home; two sisters, Ida Williams and Minister Catherine Cooper Mills both of Oxford; a brother, Isaac Thorpe of Oxford; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Dec. 12 at 2:00 P.M. at Whetstone Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Donald E. Harrison. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 11 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
