Betty Cooper Williams, 81, of Forest View Heights, transitioned on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Granville Medical Center. She was born in Granville County to the late Robert Lee Cooper Sr and Helen Hicks Cooper.

She is survived by two sons: Roderick Taylor (Lisa) of Henderson and Reginald A. Taylor of Oxford; one brother, Robert Cooper Jr (Annie) of Oxford; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm, Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Penn Avenue Baptist Church Church (125 Penn Avenue. Oxford, NC 27565). Burial will follow in the Plummer Cheatham Memorial Cemetery. Viewing is scheduled for two hours prior to the service.  The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm.
