81, a resident of 2515 Bodie Currin Road, died Wednesday, Oct. 5 at Duke Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Willie Nelson and Betty Thornton Nelson.

She is survived by four daughters, Joyce J. Harris, Jacqueline Cooper and Sandra Cooper of Oxford and Queen Cooper of the home; three sons, Larry Cooper, Terry Cooper and Steven Cooper all of Oxford; a brother, Pervis Downey of Rougemont; two sisters, Mary Moore of Oxford and Dorothy Thorpe of Pottstown, PA; twenty-six grandchildren; and thirty great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Oct. 10 at 2:00 P.M. at New Hope Granville Baptist Church by Rev. George L. Bullock. Burial will be in the Hawley family Cemetery in the Rougemont community.

A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 9 from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral home.
