96, a resident of 4074 Lyn Street, died Wednesday, December 25 at Mariah Parham Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Jimmie Wortham and Nancy Thorpe. She was a retired CNA supervisor.

She is survived by two granddaughters, Cassandra "Kim" Pettiford of the home, and Varsha Pettiford-Spencer (Shirae) of Newark, NJ; a brother, Garland Wortham (Betty) of Oxford; and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 31 at 2:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Charlene Morton. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park. A viewing is scheduled for Monday, December 30 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
