60, a resident of Oxford, transitioned Monday, March 17 at Duke University Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Thomas Wortham and Bernice Eleanor Roberts Wortham. She was a graduate of North Carolina Central University and a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. She was also a graduate of Hostos Community College in Bronx, NY where she earned an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene.

She is survived by her husband, Monterose Bennett; two sons, Jaimie Bonhomme of Siler City, NC and Reggie Jouissaint of Oxford, NC; a grandson, Zylin Bonhomme of Siler City, NC; an uncle, Carl Thomas Roberts of Stovall, NC several extremely close cousins, and caring friends. Her extended family of her gog "Peanut" and her cat "City Cat".

A viewing is schedsuled for Saturday, March 29 from 2pm-4pm at the funeral home.
