97, a resident of 810 East F Street, Butner, transitioned Tuesday, March 5 at Duke Regional Hospital. She was a member of White Rock Baptist Church where she was the "Mother of the Church".

She is survived by three sons, Ronnie Thorpe of Reidsville, Donnie Thorpe and Lee Thorpe both of Butner.; and a vast number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Mar. 10 at 2pm at New Hope Granville Baptist Church. A viewing is scheduled for Saturday, Mar. 9 from 4pm-6pm at Wright Funeral Home. Burial will be in White Rock Baptist Church cemetery. Covid-19 protocols of facial coverings and social distancing will be required.
