62, a resident of 83 Deer Chase Ln, Henderson, died Wednesday, Oct. 18 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. He was the son of the late John Cooper Winston and Marie Puryear Oakley.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris Maxine Mitchell Winston; five daughters, Ashley Mitchell and April Mitchell both of Henderson, Nakisha Satterfield and Latisha Satterfield and Elisha Winston all of Oxford; two sisters, Annette Taylor of Oxford and Michelle Kidd of Creedmoor; a step-mother, Bettie Winston of Oxford; a step-father, Andrew Jameson of Oxford; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Oct. 22 at 2:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home. A viewing is scheduled for Saturday, Oct . 21 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
