78, a resident of 4519 Fairport Road, and daughter of the late Arthur Stainback and Lonie Johnson Stainback, and widow of the late James "Jack" Lewis who died July 10, 2019, died Friday, July 19 at Duke Hospice in Durham. She was a former employee of Christex.

She is survived by four daughters, Malinda Hawley of Oxford, Joyce Lewis of Atlanta, GA, Jacqueline Johnson and Laverne Myers both of Durham; a brother, Jerome Stainback of Oxford; seven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 24 at 2:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home by Bishop Thomas Daniel. Burial will be in the Only Way Holy Church cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, July 23 from 11:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
