88, a resident of 311 W. Front Street, died Sunday, Jan. 15 at Granville Health Systems. She was the daughter of the late Ellis Taylor and Irene Winston Taylor.

She is survived by four daughters, Sherry D. Taylor and Irish Thompson (Aquito) both of Oxford, Elizabeth T. Harris (Brian) and Andrea Taylor (Vincent) both od Durham; four sons, Purvis Taylor (Alicia) 0f Quantico, VA, Kenneth O. Taylor (Brenda) of Durham, Tommy W. Taylor (Keith) of Marietta, GA, and Harold C. Taylor (Francesca) of Orlando, FL; two sisters, Emma T. Williams and Etta Petty both of Oxford; one brother, Elbert C. Taylor (Carrie) of Oxford; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 21 at 12pm at First Baptist Church by Rev. Edward Davis and Rev. Lacy Joyner. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park. A viewing is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 20 from 5pm-7pm at Wright Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church. Remember that Covid-19 is on the increase again, so please don't forget your facial coverings and to social distance six feet or more. The family will receive visitors at the home of her sister, Emma Williams, 210 Elm Street, Oxford.
