89, a resident of 105 Alston Court, died Sunday at her home. She was the daughter of the late Daniel Hester and Adeline Allen Hester.

She is survived by a son, Michael Hicks of Oxford; three daughters, Shirley Tucker of Lawrenceville, GA, Joann Garner of Youngsville, and Linda Hobson of Butner; a brother, Bishop James Hester of Oxford; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.

An outdoor service (limited to fifty (50) attendees selected by the family observing Covid-19 guidelines of face masks and social distancing of six feet or more) will be held Thursday, August 13 at 1:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home. A viewing (adhering to CDC guidelines of no more than ten (10) people at any gathering at any one time) will be held Wednesday, August 12 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
