87, a resident of 203 Peace Street, died Sunday, Nov. 26 at Granville Medical Center.  She was the daughter of the late Willie L. Hawley and Annie Lee Downey Hawley.  She was affectionately called Bea.

She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Strater, Jr.; two daughters, Myra L. Ramsay of New Jersey and Gayzelle Parker of Oxford; two sisters,  Diane "Joann" Everett of Greensboro and Margaret Patillo of Florida; one brother, Tony "Ricky" Hawley of Massachusetts; four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 2 at 1:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church by Reverend Lacy Joyner.  Burial will be in the Hawley Family Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors Friday, December 1st from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.  There will be no public viewing.
