Annie Fields Royster , 85, a native of Granville County, transitioned on Friday, May 2, 2025 at University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD. She was born in Granville County to the late Emmitt Fields and Annie Burwell Fields.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Royster Middleton (Harold) of St Charles, MD, a son, Cory B. Royster of Freeport, NY; three grandchildren; three sisters: Inez Burston (Rev. Willie) of Rocky Mt, Elnora Pettiford of Oxford and Gwendolyn Phillips of Winston Salem; one brother, Emmitt Fields (Susie) of Ft. Washington, MD and a host of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm, Monday, May 12 at Hardie Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 6615 US-15, Oxford, NC 27565. Interment will follow in Meadowview Memorial Park. Viewing is scheduled for 10 am to 2 pm at the church.
