55, a resident of 35 Branch Street in Kittrell, died Thursday, Oct. 29 at Granville Medical Center. He was the son of the late Dallas Ray Hunter and Alice Lemay Hunter. He was an employee of Bandag, Inc.

He is survived by a wife, Denise Patricia Wright Hunter; three sons, Alonzo Hunter, Jr. of Raleigh, Laquan Hunter of Henderson, Terrell Hunter of the home; one daughter, Tenell Hunter of the home; five sisters, Velma Crews of Henderson, Wilmer Owens and Cathleen Downey both of Oxford, Joyce Ramsey and Sylvia Evans both of Springfield, Mass.; nine brothers, Ray Hunter of Charlotte, Anthony Hunter of Oxford, Randolph Hunter, Wilbert Hunter, Pastor Zelton Hunter, Jerry hunter, Gerald Hunter, Ronald Hunter and Reginald Hunter all of Henderson.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Nov. 2 at 2:00 P.M. at Cornerstone Christian Community Church by Bishop J. Phillip Betts and Rev. Zelton Hunter. Burial will be in Ilong Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive visitors Sunday, Nov. 1 from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
