85, a resident of 304 Peace Street, died Friday, April 1, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Glennis Walker and Fannie Green Walker. She was a former employee of Creedmoor Sportswear.

She is survived by her husband, James E. Jones; a son, Albert L. Jones of Jacksonville, FL; a daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" Jones of the home; a step son, James Thomas Jones of Richmond, VA; a step daughter, Amaria "Peaches" Cheatham of Oxford; three sisters, Cora Timberlake, Mary Brewington and Ethel Mae Green all of Durham; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 9, at 3:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Renita Timberlake and Min. Anna Royster. Burial will be in Plummer Cheatham Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday, April 8, from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral home.
