44, a resident of 1222 Dorsey Ave., died Tuesday, Jan. 10 at Maria Parham Health. He was the son of Albert Lee Small, Sr. and Janie Marie Durham Small. He was a former employee of Food Lion Distribution in Butner.

He was educated in the Vance County School System. He found pleasue in cookins, telling jokes and riding his motorcycle. He had a heart of gold. He would often go without and give his last to help some else.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his long-time companion and fiancee, Jeanette Chavis, two daughters, A'lasia Small and Amani Small, one son, Syn'darius Terrell, one stepdaughter, Regina Cozart, two stepsons, Antonio Hart and Jerome Cozart, three brothers, Alexander Small, Antonio Small and Shaun Terry (Dana), two sisters, Irinna Small and Janice Small, two special cousins, Melissa "Lisa" Terry and Joel "Pluck" Kearney, special friends, Ken Harris, Semaj Whittley, Irelious "Rick" Harrell and Fequin Isreal; a vast number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and caring friends.

He was predeceased by his brother, Jonathan Durham, grandparents, Clarence Small, Susanna Small, Rosa Lee Durham and Fletcher Durham.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Jan. 15 at 2pm at J. F. Webb Gymnasium by Rev. Ronnie Green. A viewing has been scheduled for today, Sat. Jan. 14 from 4pm-6pm at Wright Funeral Home.
